Business leaders, traders, artisans, students, and indigenes of Kintampo North have overwhelmingly expressed their support for John Dramani Mahama to become the next President of Ghana.
They attribute most developmental projects in the constituency to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and lament the lack of significant projects since Mahama left office in 2016.
The indigenes criticized the poor implementation of the Free SHS program and school feeding program for SHS students, calling on Mahama to abolish the double-track system.
As a farming community, they welcomed the NDC’s manifesto promise to introduce Farmers Service Centres in all farming communities.
They also decried the cedi depreciation, which has negatively impacted their businesses, with some operations collapsing.
The indigenes blamed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for failing to stabilize the cedi and boost the economy, as promised.
The community expressed their trust in Mahama, considering him more credible, honest, and trustworthy to handle the country’s affairs than the NPP flagbearer.
