A former deputy minister of Trade and Industry Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed says Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu deserves to be prosecuted for causing financial loss.
There have been complains about the failure of the Special Prosecutor to show results for the budgetary allocation to his office since assuming the reins at the anti-graft body.
Speaking in an interview with host of the Gold Power Drive Sena Nombo, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed says Martin Amidu needs to account for his time at the Special Prosecutor’s office and the resources he has received over the period.
Mr. Amidu is currently entangled in a legal tussle with Member of Parliament for Bawku Central Mahama Ayariga over the purchase of two new vehicles.
The legal tussle is his first since assuming the reins at the Office of Special Prosecutor which is created by the Nana Akufo-Addo led administration to investigate and prosecute acts of corruption in the public space.
