The Council of Elders of the Nae We Palace has issued a public notice directing that all official invitations and engagements involving the Nae We, also known as the Nae Wolomo, must be channelled through the palace administration.
In a statement dated July 29, 2026, and addressed to the general public and the media, the Council said it had observed that some invitations were being extended to the Nae We without the knowledge or approval of the House and its Council of Elders.
According to the Council, such invitations are considered improper and do not follow the established protocol governing official engagements involving the traditional leader.
“We have taken notice of invitations to the Nae We/Nae Wolomo without the knowledge of the House and its Elders, which we deemed improper,” the statement said.
To ensure proper coordination, the Council announced that all official invitations to the House and the Nae Wolomo should henceforth be addressed to the Administrator of the Nae We Palace.

The statement was jointly signed by Christopher Nii Yartey Annan, Chairman of the Council of Elders, and Seth Kwei Yartey, a member of the Council of Elders. A copy was also forwarded to the Office of the Ga Mantse at the Stool House on Kings Street, Accra.
