Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has pledged to ensure that all basic schools in his constituency get the books they need before the resumption of the 2019/2020 academic year.
The MP made the pledge in a Facebook post after donating “2000 books of over 25 different titles and assorted categories for all 121 basic schools in North Tongu”

The MP is donated for a keen interest in the provision of social services like health and education in his constituency and has made several donations and embarked on numerous initiatives to this effect.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who was recently overwhelmingly elected as the NDC Parliamentary candidate, sounded excited to be contributing to improving education in his constituency.
According to him the donation and other interventions in the constituency are showing results in through the performance of pupils at the basic level.

“No basic school will be without books when schools resume for the 2019/20 academic year in a couple of weeks time.”
“Interventions like this have helped us significantly improve our BECE performance and most importantly the ability of our children to read,” he stated.

The North Tongu MP expressed his gratitude to “my dynamic Education Director, Circuit Supervisors, Headteachers, teachers and all partners” for the role they have played “in our determination to achieve results.”

“I thank my network of friends and donors who continue to assist us generously,” he stated.
