The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),Professor Opoku Agyemang has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of copying NDC policy proposals.
Speaking in Accra during a campaign tour, Professor Opoku-Agyemang said the NPP’s manifesto is a “photocopy” of the NDC’s.
“some people said they have gone to launch their manifesto, they have stolen ours, didn’t they (NPP) hear the NDC outlining those policies?”
She described the NPP’s manifesto as a “vote-buying tactic” and urged Ghanaians to ignore their promises.
“Even that, they can’t even implement it well so that all will benefit, so vote for John Mahama,” she told charged crowd at Lapaz new market.
The NPP launched its 2024 manifesto in Takoradi over the weekend, with Vice President Dr. Mahamoud Bawumia touting it as a “social contract” for Ghana’s development.
The NPP’s manifesto outlines policy plans and projects in the area of healthcare, ICT, education, and industrialization, but Professor Opoku-Agyemang is questioning the originality of the NPP’s proposals.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang argues that unlike the NPP, the NDC’s policies are built on a foundation of integrity, honesty, and a genuine commitment to Ghana’s development.
Meanwhile, Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang has encouraged all Ghanaians to take a keen interest in the Electoral Commission’s (EC) voter exhibition exercise, scheduled to begin tomorrow.
She entreated all potential voters to participate in the exercise, which aims to allow citizens to check their details on the voter register ahead of the December election.
The EC’s voter exhibition exercise will take place from tomorrow, allowing all registered voters to verify their information and make any necessary corrections.
