The assemblies of God church have given the firm assurance to President elect John Mahama that will at all times stand firm with him in his quest to reset and lead Ghana as its next head of state.
As a member of the Assemblies of God church, the hierarchy of the church led by its general superintendent Rev Stephen Yenusom Wengam paid a courtesy call on the the newly elected president on Tuesday after he was declared by the electoral commission as the winner of the Sunday’s elections.

First Lady Lordina Mahama, former chief of staff Julius Debrah, senior aid and spokesperson, Joyce Bawa Mogtari and John Mahama expressed his sincere appreciation to the church for its continuous support and guidance in his entire political and family life.
John Mahama has also given a firm assurance to the pastors to lead the country in all honesty and be truthful to Ghanaians at all material times, stressing he will seek the interest of the people at all material times.
The General Superintendent Rev Yenusom Wengam prayed for the newly elected president, his spouse as well as his staff. He also offered him communion and presented him with a Bible to guide his decision and other spiritual materials.
