Government has increased the Communications Service Tax from 6% to 9%.
The tax is charged on services provided by telecommunication companies and is paid by customers of the companies.
The move will further increase call and data charges after Ghanaians were forced to bear the brunt of the introduction of the 5% VAT flat rate.
