A popular writer for the ruling NPP, P.K Sarpong has alleged that the trending video of Akufo-Addo being hooted at was orchestrated by the NDC.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page PK Sarpong wrote;
The opposition National Democratic Congress has, once again, mobilized its executives and members in the Asene Akroso Manso Constituency to hoot at President Akufo-Addo on his Eastern Regional tour.
A video in circulation in which some people are seen hooting at His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his tour has some known NDC operatives and members who spearheaded the dastardly act. “
He mentioned that some of the people seen in the video are Shaibu Seidu who is contesting for Zongo Caucus, Awal Mohammed, Deputy Communications Officer and an Aspiring Constituency Communications Officer, Jerry Tetteh a known NDC activist who is a taxi driver, and some other branch executives of the NDC.
He added that NDC executives at Akroso Kyinso Electoral Area were also part of those who engaged in the hooting.
According to information from credible individuals within the NDC, the party’s Communications Officer, Awal Mohammed, hired the Okada Boys at Akroso Asamankese Junction to misbehave after the President received a tumultuous welcome into the Constituency to inspect the ongoing agenda 111 hospital project at Akyem Asuboa. PK Sarpong remarked.
The achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration in the Constituency are so many that the NDC is finding it difficult to garner support, especially in Akroso because of the unprecedented projects the Akufo-Addo government has undertaken in the last 5 years. He remarked.
The above reason, coupled with the fact that the opposition party’s fortunes have dwindled over the past years, were what motivated them to embark on that objectionable exercise.
It is important, therefore, for all well-meaning people within the Asene Akroso Manso Constituency and Ghanaians in their entirety to treat the staged hooting with the kind of disdain it deserves. He added.
