The Running mate of the NDC Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has urged the supporters of the party to convert the enthusiasm that has greeted her nomination into reality.
The Leader and Flagbearer of the NDC last week announced the retired academic as his running mate after securing the approval of the National Executive Committee of the NDC.
With her appointment, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has the responsibility of working with former President John Dramani Mahama to lead the party to victory in the upcoming elections.
Prof. Opoku Agyeman said the party can only secure victory through hard work and believes the party can learn from the work being done by some of its wings and branches.
She singled out the minority in Parliament for its resilience and hard work despite their challenges.
Despite lacking the numbers to prevent the governing party from bulldozing its way through, the Haruna Iddrisu led minority continues to attract a lot of attention in the public domain with their press conferences and public outreaches.
The minority pulled of a spectacular when they walked out on the 2019 State of the Nation’s Address in protest of the direction of government’s policies.
Addressing some party women, the NDC Running mate said the minority needed to commended for its efforts despite its numbers.
“The minority in parliament is like the minority of the minority and yet look at what they do. They get those done because they are willing,” he stated.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang also commended the women’s wing of the party on its hard work.
