The Founder of New Life Ecclesia in Takoradi, Apostle Abraham Bruce Jnr., says football should not be associated with spirituality, describing the sport as mere entertainment rather than a matter of divine intervention.
Speaking on the Gold Morning Show with Henry Agbai, Apostle Bruce stated that football is “just a game” and insisted that God does not concern Himself with its outcomes.
“God won’t waste His time on anything that does not bring glory to Him,” he said.
According to the clergyman, what brings glory to God is the revelation of Jesus Christ to those who are lost.
On False Prophecy
Apostle Bruce referenced 1 John 4:1-4, arguing that any prophet whose message is not centred on Jesus Christ is not speaking on God’s behalf.
“Any prophet whose prophecy is not about Jesus Christ is an antichrist and is lying,” he asserted.
He further maintained that predicting events with a “yes” or “no” outcome does not necessarily indicate that a prophecy originates from God.
In his concluding remarks, Apostle Bruce urged the public to be discerning when evaluating prophetic messages.
“Be wise and knowledgeable enough to test the spirits and determine which one is a true prophet,” he advised, citing Matthew 24:4.
