Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Constituency, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpujie has indicated that he will marshal over ten thousand people to participate in the Kun Yen Preko demonstration.

The exercise which is slated for July 9, 2019 and being organized by the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) aims at bringing to the fore the numerous hardships in the country and for government to take the needed steps to addressing them.

Speaking at a mammoth gathering ahead of the event in the constituency, the maverick legislator said his constituents will vent their spleen on the government.

“We the people of the Odododiodio Constituency, Nana Akufo Addo, would like to see your “all die be die” mantra. If we demonstrate on July 9 and Nana Akufo Addo does not meet us with his all die be die mantra, then we will not recognize him as a man,” he fumed.

The Odododiodioo legislator also stressed that “we are hungry, what at all is being cooked and will not be ready to be eaten? What at all is Akufo Addo cooking and will not be ready for eating in this country? What has not being done before?”

“We’ve seen it before, Rawlings, Kufuor, Atta Mills and Mahama has done it before. But with the exception of you, why, are you cooking a stone? If it is a stone we would like to see it on the 9th of July.”

Mr. Lante Vanderpujie further pointed out that the government must demonstrate how it has utilized the numerous funds borrowed since assuming office.

“If Akufo Addo does not tell us how he spent the eighty billion, unless he kill all of us on the 9th of July. If he does not kill us, then what he will witness up to the election time, he was not born, it would have been better. Where we have reached, we are not afraid of anything or anyone.”

“We are coming as men and women and above all, as Ghanaians as created by God to be on this land. If you have made us go hungry, making us unsatisfied, why wouldn’t you allow us to sleep?”

Touching on the recent kidnappings in the country, Mr. Vanderpujie who was the immediate past, deputy Trade and Industry Minister and former Youth and Sports Minister in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration indicated that, “three of our girls have been kidnapped, almost getting to a year. I have children who are girls. Today if your girls go out, you can’t sleep.”

He also questioned the reasoning behind the close season of the sea stressing that “it is only Nana Akufo Addo who has wisdom more than God, so he is the only one who sees that the fish stock has dwindled in the sea, so he will closed the sea for it to be stocked with fish. Unknowing that it is only God that can stock the sea with fish because it rains in some countries where there are no seas, but it rains with fish.” Therefore Nana Akufo Addo and Naa Afoley, you are not intelligent or wiser than God.”

Mr. Lante Vanderpujie therefore urged the fisher folk especially the women to play a pivotal role in the upcoming demonstration for government to understand the negative impacts its policies are having on the citizenry. This drew thunderous applause from the teeming constituents amidst singing in the local dialect.

Meanwhile the event saw the presence of the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prmapram, Sam George Nartey, Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, Chief Biney, former Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and a host of other party faithful.
