Political Scientist Dr. Amoako Baah has cautioned that the continued stay in office of President Akufo-Addo spells danger for Ghana.
He is convinced President Akufo-Addo has run out of ideas required to resolve Ghana’s deepening economic crisis.
Dr. Amoako Baah was speaking in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation.
President Akufo-Addo has indicated on several fora that his government was committed to tackling the economic challenges that have put several Ghanaians out of jobs and making it difficult for millions to afford their daily breads.
However, Political Scientist Dr. Amoako Baah says President Akufo-Addo is becoming the biggest threat to Ghana’s emergence from the crisis.
He said the President has failed to provide the leadership Ghana requires in the current crisis.
Dr. Amoako Baah bemoaned the lack of urgency in the actions of government in the face of the current crisis.
He told Sena Nombo President Akufo-Addo’s government is acting as if Ghana is in normal times.
The Political Scientist said he expected government to start making major cuts to its expenditures but is surprised President Akufo-Addo still rode in expensive convoys and is still cutting sod for capital intensive development projects when they are struggling to make basic government expenditures.
He said President Akufo-Addo has shown that he is incapable of steering Ghana through the current crisis.
Dr. Amoako Baah wondered why Ken Ofori Atta remained in office despite being directly responsible for the mess in which Ghana found itself.
