Former Finance Minister Seth Terkper says government has a lot of work to do to convince the International Monetary Fund for a program.
According to Seth Terkper the IMF needs to be convinced that the government is capable of paying back the money the Akufo-Addo government was seeking from the IMF.
Seth Terkper was speaking in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation.
Even though Seth Terkper believes government would get a program from the IMF, he says government has to work hard to assure government that it can meets its debt obligations and have enough space to pay back any money the IMF loans to the country under an IMF program.
He says government cannot avoid restructuring Ghana’s debts if it wants an IMF program.
