Eligible Ghanaians who turned out to register for the on-going limited voters registration exercise at Ablekuman Central have expressed frustration with the process.
Some registrants who spoke to Gold news described the process as poor because of the number of hours they had to wait for their turn.
They also complained of the activities of some party agents who favour their party members by helping them jump long queues at the expense of others.
“The process here is very poor. Some people also include others who join the queue through foul means leaving the rest of us in the scorching sun”, she said.
She believed the situation would have been better if the registration was conducted at the various electoral areas.
Another registrant who stated her preference for electoral area registration said it would have made the process faster and less costly.
“Previously it was conducted in everyone’s area. If they can initiate that process it would be much better”, she indicated.
The limited voter’s registration exercise began nationwide on Monday 17th June, 2019 and will end on 7th of July, 2019. The process will cover Ghanaians who turned 18 since the last registration as well as those who for one reason or the other are not on the EC’s biometric register.
