The minority Spokesperson on Health Kwabena Mintah Akandor has thanked the Health minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu for exposing the propaganda of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against the government of John Dramani Mahama.
The NPP in lead up to the 2016 elections dismissed health infrastructure projects captured in the Green book of the former government as “Photoshop projects”. The green book contained projects that were being undertaken by the former administration. The NPP went as far as questioning the existence of these projects.
The Health minister however left the opposition NDC bemused at the COVID-19 press briefing held on Tuesday 28 April 2020 when he catalogued the same projects to fight off accusations of abandonment of projects against the government.
The Health minister sought to give details of the work they have done on the health infrastructure began by the former administration as rebuttal to accusations that they have abandoned the projects.
Member of Parliament for Juaboso Kwabena Mintah Akandor in an interview with the Gold Power Drive said the minister in his haste to defend the government has admitted that the projects they called ‘Photoshop” in order to win the 2016 elections actually existed.
Kwabena Mintah Akandor however expressed shock at the claim by the health minister that no projects of the former administration have been abandoned.
According to him his visits to the Fomena and Kumawu Hospital projects showed that the projects have been left to the vagaries of weather and were overtaken by weeds.
