The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the NDC is excited with the modesty of its Running mate Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang despite her achievements in life.
This is in response to a claim by the NPP General Secretary John Boadu that only “Kayayei” would wave at the NDC Running mate if she walked through any of major markets.
The NDC General Secretary says the party is happy with the suggestion of the NPP Scribe because he acknowledges that the running mate is attractive to ordinary people despite her achievements.
Johnson Asideu Nketia says the comments of the NPP Scribe are part of a deliberate ploy to drag the NDC into a conversation aimed at watering down the sterling qualities of the newly named Running mate of the party Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
He described Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang as an accomplished female whose sterling qualities dwarf that of her male counterparts.
Johnson Asideu Nketia told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive the NPP is keen on drawing the NDC into a contest of insults because they fear the stature of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
He said the NDC is excited with the choice of Prof. Opoku Agyemang because she has proven her mettle at every turn yet does not discriminate in her dealings with people.
Even though the NDC Scribe admitted that Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang’s gender underscores the historic nature of her appointment, he said the NDC views her gender as a “top-up.”
