Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has cautioned that the minority in Parliament would resist any attempt by the New Patriotic Party Majority to have their way in Parliament.
According to him the minority has been forced to adopt this stance because of the majority’s failure to understand and work within the dynamics of the eighth Parliament of Ghana’s fourth republican dispensation.
Despite being addressed as the majority in Ghana’s legislature, the governing New Patriotic Party has the same number of seats as the National Democratic Congress in Parliament.

The three term legislator for Odododiodio however says the NPP is acting as if they are still in “Mike Ocquaye’s Parliament”.
In an interview with Sena Nombo on Radio Gold Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye said the NPP majority had gotten so used to getting their way in the house that they want to “bulldoze” their way through at all times.
He said the NPP majority needed to learn to use more “brains than brawns” or face resistance from the minority. Story: Radiogoldlive.com
